REEM KHRAIZAT

With 20 years of professional legal experience in immigration law, Reem Khraizat is a founding partner of Dagher Khraizat Immigration Law Group, PLLC. Skilled in family immigration, naturalization, non-immigrant employment visas, asylum, and removal and deportation defense, Attorney Khraizat has abundant experience filling appeals with the Board of Immigration Appeals, and litigating removal and deportation cases before the Executive Office of Immigration Review, appearing before immigration court in many States in the US.

Ms. Khraizat has served as the founding member of two law firms; Law Office of Reem I. Khraizat P.C. (2004) and later become founding partner at Dagher Khraizat Immigration Law Group, PLLC (2015). Ms. Khraizat began her career as an intern at the Legal Aid and Defenders Association INC in Detroit and the Detroit Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild. She then spent four years as an associate attorney at a mid-size immigration law firm, located in the Washington DC Metropolitan area, responsible for Immigration Court appearances before the Executive Office of Immigration Review in Baltimore, Maryland and Arlington, Virginia.

Armed with a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University, Law School in 1999 and a Bachelor’s of Arts from Michigan State University, James Madison College in 1994, Ms. Khraizat is fully admitted and authorized to practice law before the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, and the Michigan Circuit Court for the County of Wayne.

She is a member of the Michigan Bar Association, The American Immigration Lawyers Association, and American Civil Liberties Union. Being an immigrant herself, Ms. Khraizat feels a personal kinship with immigrants and is a champion of immigrant rights, frequently handling pro bono cases on behalf of immigrants that are vulnerable and in need of counsel.  Additionally, Reem has provided Pro bono Services through Michigan Immigrant Rights Center and Capuchin Legal Clinic.
